I write a monthly training column for the Iowa Firefighter Newspaper for free. I publish them on this website because the previous author, Scott Meinecke, encouraged me to create an online archive for readers. Unfortunately, within less than a year of publishing these articles, I used all the free space for photos and videos that is available and would have to pay a monthly fee to keep this website operating. So, I looked for alternatives. I finally decided on Google Sites because it does not have a cap on free space. Unfortunately, Google Sites doesn't look as professional as Wix and lacks some features (e.g., comments, likes, subscriptions). However, Google Sites allows me to fulfill the original purpose of publishing these articles online: to create an archive of all training articles. The new website link is posted below:
